In a period of rapid social disintegration, a rich man’s mountain settlement struggles between the military pressure of its experienced operators and the rural values of the families of its members. Neil McDonough agreed to star in this project because he liked Angel Studios, and he wanted to play a role that would not be a villain. After his appearance as a benefactor in The Shift (2023), McDonough made a deal with Angel Studios to provide the company with some of his projects for optional release if they were approved by the Angel Guild audience. It was the first of his projects to receive approval for financing and release. Released in 2023 Illuminate – Angel Studios (2023)
